Great all-purpose edc knife October 7, 2010 Reviewer: H man from Texas   I got this knife as a Christmas present from my father in 2007 and have loved it ever since. Very comfortable in the hand, and perfect shape. Very good coating on the blade that is resistant to being scratched off, and very good blade also. Good quality steel, easy to resharpen, and holds a keen edge nicely. Nice aluminum handles. My father passed away last November, so this knife is of great sentimental value to me and I will cherish it until I too pass to that great Beyond. Was this review helpful to you?

Exceptional Quality June 24, 2010 Reviewer: Pat Trainor from Norwich, CT United States   I had a 'griptillian' Benchmade with the same style blade (1/2 blade, 1/2 teeth) and used the h*ll out of it until it magically went missing. When a friend found this one for me as a replacement, I jumped on it, as it looked like a close replacement, except it was an auto. Holy Cow. This is a fantastic knife. It doesn't have the griptilliam plastic pattern on it, but rather a grooved metal finish that is non-reflective. I'm surprised at how non-slip it is. Unlike my smaller auto, the 9051's locking and release mechanisms are smooth (although the blade release will get better over time with more use). The blade comes out with a substantial amount of energy. There is no doubt you have hit the button! There is no play in the blade when extended, and the belt clip is almost essential to give one a feeling of security when opening the knife. I started with Banchmade through a recommendation of a friend, and I don't think I'll be happy with anything else. pat :) Was this review helpful to you?
