I've had my Benchmade Griptilian for several years now and it shows no signs of wear or quitting. The sheepsfoot blade as proven very useful and functional. Mine has a combo serrated edge and the blade maintains its sharpness very well. I haven't found the need to sharpen it even after many years of rough usage. The handle fits the average size hands very well. It has multiple textures to prevent slipping. The handle size is perfect, IMO, and gives the feeling of holding a much bigger knife. The Axis lock performs flawlessly and has a positive "click" when locked open. The Axis lock is very quick and easy to use and does not allow and play or movement when locked open. The knife fits in a pocket well, but I find the handle size somewhat too big when I have to dig in my pocket. This knife is ready to handle just about any job no matter the size. But, if a compact pocket folder is what you're looking for, check out other Benchamde pocket folders.

My very first quality knife that I actually spent some cash on-and very well worth it! I guess it true about that saying"You get what you pay for". I've now had this knife for over 10 yr. and still going. I've used this knife to cut, pry, dig, etc.. Point is hard to sharpen-but recommend wet stone to sharpen. Lock mechanism is excellent!

Benchmade really defined what an every day knife ought to be. Built tough enough to stand up to not just every day tasks, but the types of things that you shouldn't use knives for (and still use them for anyway) like prying and scraping. Sharpening is a little tricky b/c of the unusual curve, but not difficult if you know what you're doing. Sheepsfoot point softens up the overall appearance of the blade, but it can still puncture a bit. Axis lock is strong, fast, and easy to use. A great innovation in folders, I think. I highly recommend this knife to anyone looking for a general use pocket knife. It might be a little large for some people to carry all the time, but they make a mini- version.
