This is an excellent knife with the D2 steel and laser cut, custom design to give this knife its unique look. Most custom knives will cost four times what this knife cost because they're not mass produced but I don't care if there are 6 million of these in circulation. I get the same for less. I also have the satin finish BM710D2 which is kick-A$$! I'm very pleased with the D2 steel. Wilson Tactical makes their knives with the D2 and don't get too envolved with the other "Designer" steels! I'm biased because my, Wilson Tactical, push dagger is made of D2 and holds an edge that last for a long time. I was told that D2 sharpens up something scary sharp, and that is the truth. Benchmade, any type of D2 steel knife, is an excellent investment.
