First and foremost, the Triumph is a good knife. I got it for a good price. I chose the assisted tiger striped model. The blade is said to be premium, but is only AUS-8. I have suffered some damage to AUS-8 on my CRKT Desert Cruiser serrations from light use.
The Triumph is well balanced and comes extremely sharp from the factory. It will cut a water bottle in half with NO effort.
The blade shape is some sort of ridged tanto and looks very aggressive. The serrations are novel and should hold up well.
The torsion bar for the assisted opening is removable and strong. So strong in fact that the entire knife vibrates like a tuning fork upon opening. Maybe this will subside.
The Triumph carries well and for money that Thebladeshop.com sells it for, it is an extreme value. You should keep the nice autos and folders nice and use this as a working carry knife. It is definitely not a beater.
