Firstly, any knife will draw blood at the slightest touch if you can sharpen it. secondly its a rocker lock, or lockback, not a leaf spring. ( someone who uses such technical terms with such an extraordinary piece of craftsmanship should have known that). even with the hardness of the steel, VG-1 can be sharpened with a leather strop and shaved with in the morning. the point is quite sturdy and blade quite strong. what else can you say? if you want one, you wont be disappointed. mine is at the factory getting polished now, i miss it...

The fact that this knife is of near 1/2 Titanium construction means that the solidity of this weapon is such that it could easily be used as a defensive weapon for parries or blocks!.....also, when Cold Steel says their knives are sharp, it means do not even lightly run your skin across the blade edge, or you WILL BLEED INDEED! The slightest pressure on the mirror polished San Mai III blade (VG-1 sandwiched between 420J) will draw blood! It is hard to see how this knife is not deemed the greatest of the great Cold Steel knives.....the swath of the blade path and the vicious, upswept tanto point provide the supreme platform for slashes and piercing power par excellence!.....Titanium liners, bolsters, and a Titanium leaf spring lock make this particular knife perhaps the single strongest product in the Cold Steel line-up (200lbs.+).....they absolutely make the best knives in the world, period!.....this folder is my new, and future, favorite blade!!!
