I've had my Cold Steel Bolo machete for over 4 years now and I'm very pleased to say that it still works great and has not let me down. It is very effective for trimming down the over growth around my property which I often do 3 or 4 times a year. The blade does require sharpening at least once or twice a year with my mild useage. It is very capable of cutting down thick plants and small trees. The handle is is small in length and appears to be made of plastic but has not let me down yet. The small handle limits the performance to small jobs only, but still works very well in thick brush. the blade is somewhat prone to rusting, but a thin coat of CLP before storing will prevent rusting. Overall, it is a very effective tool, but not a 'showpiece'. It does what its supposed to well, and at a fair price.
