The best blend of a bush ax and a machete! October 3, 2009 Reviewer: Bentley Robison, PLS from Sylva, NC United States   I am a land surveyor and ordered 2 of these machetes for the field crews.  They were skeptical at first but now they want use anything else!  Light enough to use with one hand but hefty enough to take on large brush and small trees.  Easy to sharpen, durable and holds an edge (if you keep it out of the rocks).  The longer handles are great around briars - helps prevent "briar whip".   These machetes are so good I have ordered 4 more so each employee will have one!  Extremely good product and the price is right! Two-Handed Machete April 15, 2009 Reviewer: Rob from Charleston, WV United States   When I recieved my Cold Steel machete it wasnt sharpe at all. So I bought a "bastard" mill file and learned how to sharpen it myself.  Since then it has functioned well, performing a number of tasks. I cut brush with it at a nearby lake as well as on my grandmothers farm. It really functions as a light axe and can cut 3 inch branches and saplings with ease. Excellent value. I would recommend it to those who want a mix between a machete and a light axe. Was this review helpful to you?
