A great knife with some limitation |

I picked this knife up about a year ago from a local shop and love it to death! The blade snaps open lightning fast and locks as if it were a fixed blade and holds up to tons of abuse. There are two things that bring my overall opinion down a bit. The first is the grip. While I love that its nearly impossible to have this sandpaper like grip material slip from your hands in even the most adverse conditions, I'm not a big fan of the damage it does to my pants pockets. The second thing that I don't like is that it is not truly ambidextrous. I am a police officer and need to carry my duty knife on my left side for safety reasons. The knife opens like a champ with the left hand thumb stud but the pocket clip is only reversible for right side tip up or tip down carry, no left side option whatsoever. I wish this knife had a left side option because if it did, it would be my all day everyday choice. Then again it provides a convenient excuse to buy yet another knife......

I bought this knife at a gun show (probably paid too much for it) intended for use as a law enforcement utility knife. The side clip makes it easy to carry and quick to deploy in those tight emergency situations. The blade is durable enough to be used as a pry tool. The blade edge is extremely sharp and seems to hold its edge well. The best feature of this knife is the spring assisted opening. With a slight "push" of the thumb, the blade flies open to a "snapping sound, which demands the attention of anyone standing close by. An honorable mention of its features if the rubber grip handle, which makes the knife easy to hold on to in inclimate weather conditions. I'm impressed.
