BlackHawk MOD CQD Mark IIThe Dieter CQD® Mark II is a smaller, more concealable version of its award-winning big brother, the Mark I. Like the Mark I, it features high-strength milled-aluminum construction, a state-of-the-art plunge lock mechanism, and a secondary safety lock to prevent accidental release of the lock during use. It also boasts a three-dimensional hilt, ergonomic handle design and textured wingwalk insert panels to provide an exceptionally secure grip under the most demanding operational conditions. The broadening spear point blade profile of the Mark II offers superior cutting and puncturing capabilities and is ground from .148-inch-thick high-carbon 154CM stainless steel for superior strength. The Black Diamond-Like Coat (DLC) blade coating provides superior wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and non-reflective qualities for use in low-light environments. The manual version of the Mark II features an ambidextrous thumb stud for rapid one-handed opening of the knife with either hand. It is also available to qualified buyers in a spring-powered automatic version. Both versions of the Mark II lock open via a plunge lock mechanism one of the strongest lock mechanisms available on a folding knife and one of the few that enables the user to safely close the knife with one hand, even while wearing gloves.Rather than a support blade like the Mark I, the butt of the Mark IIs handle houses a carbide glass breaker for breaching windows. In addition to expanding the Mark IIs scope of application in both operational and rescue situations, this feature also provides the capability for focused impact strikes to pressure points during close-quarters combat. A spring-steel pocket clip supports convenient tip-down carry in the pocket or waistband and is reversible for left or right-side carry. For carry on the belt, a ballistic nylon belt pouch is available at no charge upon request. The Mark II has already found favor among plainclothes operatives of numerous elite government agencies and is an excellent choice for duty personnel and civilians looking for extreme performance in a concealable, easy-to-carry package.
