Like all Spyderco knives, the Harpy is fantastically sharp, tearing through even wood w/ ease. Its construction is durable, very reductionist. I like its comfortable feel. Difficult to sharpen, due to the serrations and unique blade profile. But it has excellent edge retention, so that's not much of a concern. Due to the hawk bill blade it's not the best for penetrating, but it does have a sharp point. Not what I'd call an everyday carry, but it's ideal for cutting ropes or cardboard or other fibrous material. If that's what you need it for, there's none better.
